Mint
Simple Syrup
1.
Place mint leaves into a cocktail shaker and muddle (gently mash) it a few times. Add the lemon slices and muddle again.
2.
Strain into a glass. If you'd like, add a splash of soda water (this rounds out the flavors).
3.
Serve with crushed ice.
Sugar cube
Orange peel
Angostura bitters
Water
1.
Shake 4 dashes bitters on 1 sugar cube, then muddle it with ½ teaspoon water.
2.
Add 2 ounces BK Whiskey.
3.
Add ice, orange peel, and optional cherry.
4.
Add a large ice cube and an orange peel, making sure to squeeze it over the drink to release the oils.
5.
If desired, add a cocktail cherry.
Lemon juice
Honey syrup
1.
Add BK Whiskey, fresh lemon juice and honey syrup to a cocktail shaker. Fill it with ice and then shake until very cold. Don’t have a cocktail shaker? Use a mason jar with a cover instead.
2.
Strain the drink into a lowball glass. Don’t have a cocktail strainer? Use a fine mesh strainer instead.
3.
Add ice and a lemon wedge.
